The students were great ambassadors for <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">Austell</span> Intermediate! We are so proud of you!</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>What's happening in class?</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>4<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">th</span> and 5<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">th</span> grade students are playing recorders in class. We are working on naming notes on the music staff so that we can make music <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">independently</span>! We are improvising on our new recorder notes BAG, working on our listening skills by identifying pitches played in class without the music!! We are also working on rhythm with drum sticks, playing a music staff game, and learning the dance to Thriller!</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>2<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">nd</span> and 3rd graders have been playing piano. 3rd graders learned to play the Addams Family song while second graders composed their own ABA pieces. Some of those pieces can be found on the school website under the podcast link.
